my daughter is 4 and she used to cry at night for no reason .... forst of all look at something that you may be doing and dont even realize that he is looking.... scary movies...some commercials or even yelling in the home these are somethings that my daughter ws seeing at daycare and once I pulled her out I had no problems and I found child care center that didnt have any of these going on in the place of my daughter

have you tried just giving him a little drink of water, he may be thirsty. in these warmer months all 3 of my children have woken in the night just for a little drink. if they are fed, clean and at the right temperature there is nothing more you can do.
have you checked to see if he is teething? other than that as long as your child is put to bed in a calm relaxed atmosphere I cant think what else this could be. good luck I know how tiring young children can be.
