Freshmeat?

I am going to be a freshman I am so scared. I am not good in meeting new people because I am way to shy. anyway here is my question Why do people call freashman

They call them freshmeat for a couple of different reasons: 1. to scare the fvck out of them. 2. They are new to the school, they are fresh. So they are completely vulnerable to anything and everything.
Don't be shy. High school is all about making friends and having the time of your life. You wont get that experience if you aren't willing to sacrifice a little for it. Have fun. If you see people you think look interesting go talk to them. Be yourself.

To be completley honest, freshman year is not bad. I'm now a sophmore, & I LOVED 9th grade!

Gosh I'm glad I'm not in high school anymore. I hated being a freshman there. Now, I'm going to be a freshman in college. I was shy in high school so I never had friends. Good luck...
