My period

im 16 and I was wondering if 7 days is a normal cycle because some people say theres is like 27 days or something like that so I was just wondering if 7 days is a normal cycle each month. oh and by the way I have had mey period since I was 10.

Just so I'm sure we're on the same page here...a cycle is from the day you begin one period until the day before you begin your next...it's not the days that you are actually on your period.

So, if you period is 7 days - it's normal, but a cycle should be far more than 7 days.

My period always lasts 7 days and still dont feel totally clean until a few days after that!!
I know how you feel because some people that I know have periods that last 4 days and I always think that its not fair because mine always lasts ages.

Uhm, yeah, 7 days is the average... people have different times, usually between 4-10 days...

If you mean that the time from when one period begins, to the time when the next period begins is only 7days (therefore you would, at most, have about 3days rest between periods) then there is something very wrong and you need to go to the doctor. A cycle is the time from the start of one period to the start of the next and a normal cycle is 28days.
Also if you mean you have 7days between each period your hormones are probably unbalanced and it's worth going to the doctor and going on hormone replacement therapy or the birth control pill as I can imagine that's quite a pain.
If you mean your period lasts for 7days that's perfectly normal! Different people's last for different lengths of time from anywhere between 4-10 days is normal.
