My parents wont let me havee a boyfriend??

My parents wont let me have a boyfriend but I think im old enough. im 14 and every time I ask they say no. How can I make them let me without having to sneak behind there backs HELP

compromise. go on double or group dates, or go to a movie while your parents go shopping, etc. they just dont want you to be alone with a guy they dont know, because they dont want you to make bad choices. btw school dances are always ok with parents because theres so many people.

I have the same problem my father won't let me date until I'm sixteen
im 15 right now thankfully Its only until september that I have to wait for him to ALLOW me to date
I've been going out with my best friends brother for a little over a month
I tried every excuse with my dad double dating group dates even chaperoned dates where my boyfriends mom would accompany us nope nope and you guessed it NOPE
so now my dad doesn't know I have a boyfriend and my friend has come really close to spilling the beans she even flat out said you're dating my brother but I'm rather good at lying so my dad didn't believe her
I really don't like having to lie to my dad

you may have to make a deal with them, like doing better in school and you get something from it if you show improvement. show them you are ready to handle these kinds of decisions, and don't feel bad I'm a guy and my mom didn't want me dating until I was 16 lol. be careful if you do lie to your parents you're going to hurt them emotionally and they're probably not going to trust you for awhile. I recommend doing everything you possibly can legit first. oh and don't cry or whine if you don't get your way, be mature

Id sit down and tell them that you've become very attacted to someone and you'd like to start dating them, and if they blow up and say NNOO WAAY (like mine did) Comprimise. Tell them that you're mature enough to tell them about this and you're not hiding it, and you'd be more then happy to bring him home for dinner one night. Tell them all the good things about him like how respectful he is and stuff like that. I did this and we all discovered my boyfriend would love to come tubing and fishing out at the lake sometime and him and my parents get along very well.
