Okay soo I took my new born in for a check up and
he lost a pound is that normal?

Yes, it is

Newborns will often lose a little weight soon after they are born. As long as the baby is feeding and soiling it's diaper you should have nothing to worry about.

Just watch for yellowing of the skin and eyes - a malnourished infant will display signs of jaundice.

very normal...remember after your baby was born that he/she didn't eat a lot for a couple of days? That would be why...they have to learn how to eat and it takes some practice. As long as he/she doesn't continue losing weight and he/she is eating and having their diaper changed frequently then don't worry about it.

yes that is very normal...my daughter who is now 9 months old lost 2 to 3 pounds by her first visit...your newborn will gain the weight back...just give him/her time...

Yes. All babies lost weight the first week. Mine did and so did my niece. Dr says it is normal!
