My mom won't let me date!

ok, so I'm turning 16 this april and I've never dated...
My mom said I couldn't date till I was 18, and that I should concentrate on school..
I feel that it's unfair...
and I really want to date badly! and I think the only way to find the right guy, is...

by dating different people and experimenting while in high school..

what should I do? should I date secretly???

I can understand what your Mom is saying. I got to go on my first day at 16. I married Him a few years later! LOL. He was the first and only guy I ever dated so I am really happy my parents allowed me to. But just try to sit down and talk to your Mom about it. Ask her if you double date or go in a group can you. Or maybe if you only go one day a week. Try to bargain with her and maybe she will give in. Good Luck and God Bless!

No don't date in secret just be patient and talk things over with your parents to find out why they don't want you to date yet.

you obey your mom.. she wants what's good for you. patience is a virtue.. what's a couple of years more? -- dont think too much about it... time will fly fast..

oh well I am going through the exact same thing andi just feel to secretly date sometimes because the amount of boys I had to turn down.

yea I think your rite, you should be allowed to date at the age you are now, its better for you in the future if you find out earlyish what guys are like what and which type of guys you prefer so you know which ones to avoid dateig in the future, just as long as you concentrate more on school than doin anything else with your boyfriend (when you get 1) otherwise your gna screw up your life, and never let a guy control you either.

In the UK you can get married at 16 and have kids, but thats a general law and not your parents house rules, if you really want to date though talk it over with your parents, if they let you see someone where would you go? what time would you be home at? stuff like that just ot make them more secure. Or you could always take the person home for them to meet, this depends on if you think it would be beneficial for your case ;-)
