my mom is always trying to tell me who I can and cant hang out with and all of my friends are good people but she randomly decides that I cant hang with some of them. how can I get her to back off and accept my friends??

just tell her that your never going to learn if she doesnt let you experiance it, to have trust in you because she tought you better then to hang out with someone who doesnt have respect...something like that anyways.

Try to see things from her point of view. Your mom wants what is best for you. Convince her that sheltering you from specific people based on pre concieved judgements isn't in your best interest. Be respectful when you talk to her, or she probably won't hear anything but the attitude in your voice.
