Its not unusual to find that with a Laptop, but its not generally a good sign. The fan spins at a speed in response to how hot the laptop gets. So either, your laptop has a noisy fan which shouldn't be noisy, or it has a faulty component which is causing it to heat up more than it should. Either way, if its still under warranty I suggest getting it checked out - it could be there is a problematic component (fan or otherwise) that needs to be replaced. If your laptop is overheating, it will be more prone to failure.
no, I have the same laptop its not normal
That could be the power supply fan-my old desktop used to do that for 20 mins after I'd turned it on. It wasn't a big deal on my computer, it still worked fine. If you bought it new, take it back and claim it under warranty. If not, take it into a repair shop.
Get some canned air and blow out the fan, see if that helps.
One of my guy friends has that laptop and it's noisy... personally all laptops are noisy to me. I have a Mac though, and it doesn't make a peep!
It all depends on if the fan on your laptop needs to be replaced or cleaned out.
Apparently, your fan needs to be either replaced or cleaned out. So, I don't think that's normal to have a noisy laptop. I can tell you, I own a laptop myself and, its an HP and, the fan on my HP is real quiet and, you hear it, but, it isn't noisy. If there are anymore problems with your laptop or your fan, I would suggest also to take it up to the computer store in your local area and see what they can do with it.
Good luck.

Is it normal for an hp laptop to be so loud?
Send me Fun Mail
Hi. I have an HP dv6000 Laptop. It constantly makes a lot of noise. This noise is the fan. I can hear the fan roaring because it is going so fast.
Is this normal on a laptop?? Thanks.
