How can I fix discolered fur on my kitten's chin?

Asked by xxthatgirl 10 months ago, 3 answers.

My kitten's fur is discolored under his chin. I think it's from him eating or whatever. The fur on his chin is white but the spot is a gross orangy brown color. How can I get rid of the spot? CAN I get rid of it or is it stained?

Hey, my bichion frise dog had the sam problem. Whenever he ate something his white fur on his chin was stained a bit. So we saw on t.v. one day that there is actually some kind of whitening shampoo. But you have to be careful not to get it in their mouth, eyes nose, ears etc. That was for dogs, but you might want to check out if they have something the lines of that for cats... Hope that helped, Good Luck!

Unless you are showing him/her in a contest, don't worry about it. Think about the stress you'll put the kitty through trying to 'fix' it. Maybe it's just his coloring. It's best to just leave him alone. I have a cat that has jaw bone cancer and would love to see him with a stain on his chin.

I don't show him in contests or anything. The little spot on his chin just grosses the other people in my house out. -_- And since it's my kitten, they want ME to fix it. But I'll look at local pet stores for the shampoo. I remember reading somwhere about an easy way to fix this but I can't remember where.
