I know that when people have dreams about there partner cheating on them it means that there partner is actually very faithful and isnt cheating on them

Okay, this is a bit of an issue that should be worked on through counseling. You cheated on him. No matter how sorry or regretful you may be, it is going to be very difficult for anyone to be able to fully trust their partner after it has happened once. The dreams are nothing to worry about. Trust is the issue to handle. If he is worried about you cheating because of a dream, then maybe he isn't feeling as close to you for whatever reason. Don't try to dissuade his mistrust, try to bridge his trust.

You may feel that you don't have to prove yourself to anyone, even your husband. However, you do need to prove it or you may lose your relationship. There isn't a point when you can stop trying either. This is going to be a life long commitment for you to keep your marriage. Counseling would really be best for the two of you to speak more honestly to each other.
