My ipod wont show up

So when I plug my ipod into my computer it says it's charging, but it doesnt show up on itunes!
It worked before, without a doubt...
I dont know what's wrong.
And I have a bunch of new songs I want on it, but it doesnt even show up on itunes.

Help?
