My husband is 38 years old. Hard worker. But when he was 18 to got into some trouble. Got a felony on his background. Is that coming to hurt him to get a better pay job. Could you help us and let us know what to do?

Dear Deb,
Why don't you have somebody do a background check on him, and then show you/him the report. I would think if you called local police to find a company they use that does background checks, you could use that same company. May cost you a few dollars BUT you will find out for sure. If it is infact hurting his chances at a good job, have him contact high schools to speak to their troubled youth. He can tell them what happens when you get into trouble as a young kid....how it follows you for life....etc....He may even be able to charge a small speaking fee and also by doing this it will make his background easier to explain to a potential employer, (how he is using it to help kids).
