My hair was dyed too dark, how can I lighten it?

A few hours ago I dyed my hair black but its way to dark and looks fake! I got the same hair color I usually got when my hair was long and I didnt use as much or leave it in as long since my hair is cut into a stacked bob now. How can I lighten it up enough so it does not look fake but is still black? Thanks for your help!

Keep in mind that the colour will fade out some with a few washings...you can try washing your hair again, and see if that helps.

If not, you may have to resort to a bleach to lighten is back up

you can go to target or somthing and look for the ile where you can wash your hair with theis stuff and it will lighten it or whatever!!! ( I forgot what it is called sorry)

A lot of times it just appears dark when you first dyed it. If you wash it (especially with shampoo) like twice, you will see the colors coming off and getting lighter. That pisses me off when it won't STOP getting lighter!!!
