^I'm with her. Don't try to color your hair with so-called coloring shampoos again. I wouldn't trust them.
If you want to change your hair color, buy a simple dye kit with dye that has no ammonia 
They have a lot at Sally's beauty supply.
And to help your color stay in, buy a shampoo that doesn't contain ANY SULFATES (sodium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, any kind of SULFATE). This will dry out your hair and wear your color down. It's in most shampoo...Herbal Essences, Dove, V05, TRESemme, Suave, Pantene...even so called good shampoos like Nexxus and Biolage. Giovanni or Say Yes to Carrots (or Tomatoes or Cucumbers) are sulfate-free. They're available at drugstores. Health food stores and Vitamin Shoppe also have nice, natural shampoos.
