What if my girlfriend is acting really awkward?

there's this girl who I've been friends with forever, but ever since we found out we liked each other, shes been really shy and awkward. I asked her out a couple of weeks ago and she said yes, but since then she always seems really awkward when im around, and hasnt even aknowledged that im her boyfriend. all her friends are telling me that she does like me but needs time to realize theres nothing to be afraid of. I feel that if I dont do something, nothing will ever happen. what should I do?

she is obviously not comfortable. this is probably her first time around and needs to take it slowly. I don't know what to tell you but just to wait it out. it's only just a matter of time before she feels comfortable

She might think that having a relationship might ruin your friendship. Just give her time.

yea just what sailor said she just thinks a relationship will ruin your friendship but you could talk to her and let her know that you are the right one for her and that if it doesnt work out that nothing will be ruined. give her time to adjust and instead of worrying of what she is thinking have fun with her. do some love things you find in books and tv. write her little kid messages and just make her adjust that you are the perfect one for her. and most importanly find her her speciall own nickname..like my angel or my..something..something that is sweet and cute and you could describe her everyday to keep her happy.
