How can I get my ps2 to read my discs?

my ps2 is freakin gay.it wont read my discs.I have san andreas,and it is all scratched up and it will read that.what the freak is wrong?

There are a few good ways to fix a ruined disk.

1. take it to a game store and ask if they can fix it.Note: some stores only fix games that they sell.Also some require a small fee to fix.

2.Try to clean it well.

3. If you are really desprate you can try putting toothpaste on the bottom of it and leaving it out for about 20 miniutes, then rinsing it off. It worked for me once. Another time it didn't.

4.If you think it is a problem with the console, than you can send it back to the manufacturer or ask a goming store to see if they can fix it.
