Can my friend still move in with me?

my friend is 17 and she is mississippi right now well her parents told her when she gets back she can find somewhere else to live! my parents said it was fine if she lived with us! well a few days away from coming home her parents said she was not moving out and she had to stay with them until she was 18! I thought once they kicked her out they can't tell her she has to stay with them.how can she move in with me still????

I doubt if they put anything in writing, so it's a she said / they said case - won't hold up - so legally, she either needs to be the 'age of majority' (usually 18) or get an emancipation order from the Court..I wish all of you the very best !!
