My friend is acting weird, whats going on?

Im really worried about my friend. He's acting weird. I can't get him to laugh or smile. He's really depressed all the time, and he's getting kind of violent. The things he talks about really frighten me. He used to be a really loving person, but anymore, hes just
so hateful. I asked him what was going on, if anything had happened, and he said it was just a whole bunch of stuff together. He's talking about hurting animals, babies, and im so scared. What should I do. He's got no one. His mother lest him to join a traveling circus, and he has like no real friends. I don't know what to do.

wow. this sounds like a problem. Just try to have a easy conversation with him first, see if you can make him feel better, and if his behavior doesn't stop alert the police before he makes a bad move.

A lot of things on your plate right now and it all revolves around this friend of yours. It's unfortunate to say that he's going through a tough time right now and the best thing you can do is be a friend. I recommend telling a teacher about this because according to what you're saying about the cruel things he wants to do to other things, like animals for example, there is something wrong there. He needs help.

maybe killing baby animals is what they do in the circus, and he feels bad when they do this, while he can't change it or not be in the circus cause his mum told him to!!
and I think that the only way to fix this whole is to be a real friend, and by the time he will tell you whats going' on and stay in touch with him even if he's movin to another place, call him, visit him from time to time, etc. he's just feeling lonely maybe!

Do you think he may be on drugs ? Maybe you could watch for this. Or, he may have some real issues he's trying to deal with and is not coping too well. If he is still in school maybe you should talk to a counselor or teacher about your concerns. If you do hear him threaten anyone or think he may really do harm to himself or others, I think you should call the police station and talk with them about this friend. I realize you may not want to sell out a friend but in the long run, you have to be able sleep at night. You will have to judge if he is truly a real threat.
Talk with him about your concerns and be honest with him in hope he will be honest with you. It's a real red alert when someones behavior changes rapidly. Good luck with this. It sounds like you are a true friend.

he graduates high school this month, and I didnt say he wanted to kill animal babies, I said he wants to kill animals, AND babies, as in HUMAN BABIES. GOT IT??? WHY DO YOU THINK IM SO FREAKED OUT?

if he is telling you he is thinking these things chances are he is not going to do it. Not to say he doesn't need help. From the sounds of it he obviously does but people that talk about that stuff are usualy crying out for help and don't know of any other way to do it. It is kind of like people that talk about committing suicide aren't the ones that do it. Good luck and keep a close eye on him.

I don't think it's a drug issue, as someone eluded to. Drugs don't make you want to, suddenly, kill animals, or babies .

I think it may be because his Mom left him and he's striking out. Where's his Dad? What's his home life like? I mean, who does he live with?

I believe he does need to talk all this out with a school counselor or a Psychologist. If he can't afford one, they are free at Social Services, but sometimes they're understaffed and it may be a while before he can see someone. Depends on where he lives...the county and state.

Definitely, keep an eye on him and of course, continue to be the good friend that you are.
