So, I guess the older your parents are, the less sense they have to make :D

It makes perfect sense. My brother refuses to wake up in the morning and purposley locks his door(key lock) so that no one wakes him up. His tardiness is wearing on his grades. Where he goes to school 3 tardies = 1 unexcused absence. You fail the class when you get 10 unexcused absences. I wish my dad would take his door.
You father is just looking out for you. Instead of questioning him you need to show him respect and go to school. He wants you to be the best you can be. If that means he needs to take your door for a while, then so be it.
