What is wrong with my dog?

my dog (robbie) has been ill the past 7 weeks, I have taken him to the vets and have nearly spent over £700 on him.
firslty the vets said he had cancer but then the blood results came back negative, he wont eat and is really really thin. he is still...

alert and I really cannot stand the thought of him being put down, he is a cross between a cavalier king chales and a shitzu. he is 12 years old.
please can you help me???

your dog may eat all dry food i had this problem with my dog sally what we did was try mixing indry food with wet food. This should be a vets opinion because i plan on being a vet and this might help if it doesnt i cant help but tell you put him down to keep him from suffering

i take back what i said partially u sound desperate so if the wet food idea doesnt work try people food in small quantities mixed into his dry food and if that doesn't work try all around fat of steak and roast

Go to a pet store and get a tube of Nutri-Cal it will supply high calorie suppliments that dogs just love put some on your finger and they will lick it up then mix some with food....very good way to get some food vitimines down your pup. ...make sure hes hydrated too...pedilite or gadoraide is very good for this too. It really sounds like your dog is very ill. Just because one blood test ruled out cancer, doesnt mean he doesnt have it somewhere else. That is one sign that there is something seriously wrong, when they dont eat, and is very thin. I have no other advice than to tell you to get another vets opinion. I wouldnt want to see my dog in that condition.

my dog had sorta the same problem and she lived. we found out that she later had some thing called worms. we spent about that much on her 2!! llol!!
