My dog

Well every morning when the post person comes my dog always barks... , she cant see out of any windows or but she barks like mad , why is my dog doing this has any body got any advice please help if so thanks

The postman is on a regular schedule...so it doesn't matter that she can't see him, she KNOWS he's coming, and keeps an ear out for him. In her mind, she's being an ultra watch dog for a daily invader of her territory. The pay off is...(she thinks)...is that she ALWAYS drives him away...

Put her on a leash when you know the mailman is coming...make her sit, and stay by you...give her a couple of free barks, then say Enough!...or CHTTT...to get her attention, and stop her barking...You'll have to do this every day for a couple of weeks if you want her to stop it. Praise her BIG when she shuts up...even if it's just for 30 seconds.

I walk my dog every day twice a day
