My dads being a jerk and wont talk to me!!

my names matthew and im 17 years old I just recentley moved to miami about a month ago my dad opened a new night club down there and its a lot different to new york (where im originally from) my mom and dad are divorced and I love living with my dad because I live the high life the flashy cars the women the money but I missed new york and my mom still lives in new york so I moved back in with her about a week ago but now my dad has totally cut me off and being a di*k he wont even talk to me I dont want to lose my dad because I still want 2 b able to go visit him in the summer and as my 18ths cumin up hes told me the party I was going to have in spirit (thats his night club he owns) is now off! man I dont know what to do because I want to live in new york with my friends but still I dont want 2 lose my dad?

Thats a tough spot to be in. Parents who get divorced tend to try and guilt you into staying with one or the other. He doesn't want your mom to have you basically. So he's dangling candy in front of your face. Honestly I would stay with your mom. If he only shows that he cares when you're with him and gives you the cold shoulder when you're with your mom (who will be your MOM for live, no matter what!) then he isn't being a good dad.

Let him know that you're his son no matter what, so he should love you unconditionally.
