My crush doesn't maintain eye contact anymore

I have a crush on this guy at my high school, but I don't know him, I have never talked to him, and I don't have a class with him. But when we pass each other in the hallways, I would always find him looking at me before I look at him and then we would...

maintain a second or more of eye contact. But like after a month, I still catch him looking at me when we pass by in the halls, but he immediately looks away when I make eye contact. What could this mean?

I think he just wants you to make a move, have you tried going up and talking to him? sounds to me like he is just shy.

I think it means he likes you and he probably doesn't know how to talk to you or he isn't sure if your into him so you should try and start a conversation with him

He's shy and it might take him quite a while( if ever) to start anything.
