Okay so my cousin is 11 and she still sucks on her blankie is this nomal?

She sucks on it!! EEWW. I wouldn't say sucking on it is normal, but sleeping with it is. My niece has her blankie still. She's 16. I don't ever recall a time that she sucked on it though! LOL

I dont think...a lot of people say its cause insecerity over something...it makes them feel safe I think. ..even if its something little...dont know if that helped

It is a security thing, but to suck on it at age 11? You'd think she would put it in her mouth and say eeewww!!!

If she does it in front of people, it's serious. If she does it at night when no one else can see, yes, it's time to say 'bye-bye blankie', but it's not quite so serious! Has her mum tried to 'loose' it yet? Sometimes older kids can handle it quite well when a childhood comforter gets 'lost'.

Whoa. That's pretty irregular. I mean I know that most kids have like a favorite object... But to have a Blankie? And to suck on it as well? No offense. That's strange.

ahahaha... I have a friend that's 17, and HE has a blankie... and sleeps with it too!! ahahaha... he can't sleep without it!! - but he dosen't suck on it!!... ahahaha... or did you mean your cousin sucks her thumb and sleeps with a blankie?
