My cousin accidentally killed a guy...

my cousin is in the hospital, cause a taxi ran a stop sign and his car flipped over, but while his car was spinning, he ran over a man, who died...when he got out of the car, he saw the guy seizing on the ground, cause he wasnt dead yet...hes 27, and he...

cant bare to be left alone, my sister is holding his hand, cause he needs some sort of human contact...when he closes his eyes, he says that hes seeing the scene all over again...and to make it worse, the newspapers and crap are saying that he was drunk when this happened, he wasnt...hes so depressed, and I dont know what to do...any advice?
and please be serious, cause im not kidding, and im really worried about him doing something stupid from the guilt of killing the guy...

tell him that he didn't do anything wrong and this stuff happens every year but you can't let the guilt of it eat you alive try showing him his favorite things surround him with family members but don't let him do this to him self please this has happenend to my friend but she got over it took time but she eventually got over it so try theese things but if it doesn't work just keep trying because there is hope!!!

it sounds like an accident, he had no control of the car and hit this man right? he's just in shock, just be there for him. it will be okay, there was nothing he could've done and he'll come to realize that but it will take time.

Therapy may help at this point?
