YES loz I have the same problem or had lolz because I had a 1gig ipod for 2yrs and I used it a lot and the battery started losing its charge (it wont stay charged for a long time like it used 2) and then I sold it for 20 dollars to my female friend I work wit because ov that error and she says it works on her friends CPU's but she nees me because her friends are distant and dozznt have anyone 2 drive her to her friends house. anyway she recently gave it to me so I can put some songs on it 4her and I connected it 2 my PC and it did not read it. it just charged as if it were a USB 2.0 wall charger. I have investigated this error myself and I just cant come up with a solution.my educated gess is that the software is getting old and these updates Apple gives you 4free seem to keep your ipod running smoothly but giving the software secret errors that it dosnt tell you and the software acts crazy and just does what eva da hell it wants lolz. dats my educated gess lolz. best advice is to send it in to Apple and hopefully get a replacement or see if they can fix wats wrong lolz or just buy a new 1. My computer isn't recognising my ipod
I just plugged my ipod into my computer and its's not recognising it. It's not coming up on itunes or my computer. I have windows XP, but it's always worked before. The other day, I charged it on my dad's computer, which doesn't have itunes installed,...
but it charged fine, except that all the date and time settings had been reset. My playlists and other stuff were fine, though. Also, my itunes library is completely empty, which has happened before. Do you have any idea what's going on?
