My camera fell in water!

Asked by vhmehta 3 months ago, 4 answers.

My Olympus 340 fell in water for about 2 seconds and now its not working. What should I do? Should I try to repair it or just throw it away!

Does anyone know of any place that buys those type of camera's?

what mrscobain said. try to return it at bestbuy, or let the whole thing dry out. often times it won't work simply because when it's wet the water shorts the circuits. did you drop it in fresh, or saltwater? if it was in saltwater you should actually redunk it in fresh water, to get rid of the salt. good times. live the dream.

When did it fall? Recently?
Try airing it out and letting it dry,and se what happens.
If it doesnt work, call the nearest BestBuy,or somehtng, and find out if they can repair it or not.
If not,go bakc to wherever you got it.Best Buy has really nice cameras,so id defnitly check there.

"just get a new one" -sorry, not everybody's got money to burn like littleprincess. maybe someday I can be rich like her, and I won't have to repair anything. my car needs an oil change; I guess I'll just throw it away and get a new one of those, too.
