My boyfriend wants to be on a break

my boyfriend and I have been together for 5 months tomorrow. he just now decides that he needs a break because he needs to straighten his life out, yet he doesnt care that its killing me and that I dont want this at all. hes cheated on me before and im scared thats why he wants to be on a break. he especially annoys me when he talks behind my back with my friends and tells them all that he would go out with them if it wasnt for me. it feels like im ruining his life but he wont just completely let me go, what do I do?

What you wrote about your b/f; e.g. cheated on you, he tells that you ruin his life, and talks behind your back silly things about you, so this behaviour is just enough to advise you that YOU need a break and not he needs it, yes, and asap find a normal b/f. OK?

Whats going to happen if you keep him around? Your going to know how he feels really! Are you going to marry this guy? Otherwise, dont waist your time! You are sooo much better than him if he feels the need to do that to you. Let him miss you, dont miss him. And remember, your just going to waiste your time if your going to be sad about him. Anyone that really cares about you would never want to see you sad, so hes probably not worth it.
