What if I want to have sex but I'm afraid?

My boyfriend wants me to have sex, weve been dating like a year, I think im ready to but im scared, and self concious of my body, will it really hurt?
A dunno what I should do, becasue I want to but im scared.
Please help.

I dont like that when girls say, 'my boyfriend wants to have sex'! Just because he is your boyfriend, doesnt mean you have to do everything he wants you to do. If you are scared, and self conscience hun, YOU ARE NOT READY! Never push yourself to do something just because somebody else wants you to. It has to be right for you, and if it isnt, you have the right to say NO! Don't be embarrassed or think you will sound immature by saying no to sex. Choosing not to have sex is VERY mature. It would be immature to be pressured into something you don’t want, or arent ready for!

A guy who truly cares about you, would never push you into sex. Keep in mind that if it was meant to be with you and this guy, it was meant to be right for BOTH of you, not only for one of you!

No matter what your feelings on sex are, it may be smart to wait until something 'feels right.' And even then, it's a good idea to wait a month or two. If it's truly love, and it's meant to be, it will survive and even grow stronger without sex. If it isn't, then you will be really glad you waited and found that out, before you got intimately involved on a physical level.
