My boyfriend thinks I'm controlling

My boyfriend thinks I'm controlling and I don't know what to do. I could understand how I became controlling because he was lying to me in the beginning of our relationship and messing around with his ex, but now we've been together 14months and thats in the past. I still have a hard time trusting him and am unsure if he truely loves me. I'm not sure what to do, I try to talk to him about our problems but before I even start talking he's all defensive and rude towards me. His first thought is that I'm trying to control him by telling him how I feel about something. I just wish we were on the same page and pulling our relationship together instead of drifting apart, I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I need some advice, someone please help? I want to make my relationship work but I don't know how to deal with things?

Break it off with him, he betrayed your trust. Honestly, read over what you said. There are several, very clear indications that this relationship isn't going anywhere. I know you keep hoping things will get better, but in reality, they will probley just get worse.

It takes two to make a relationship work, and from what you said, you didnt have much of a relationship to begin with. You started off on a bad note together, and it doesnt seem to be getting any better. If you have no trust in your boyfriend (with good reason) then you have no relationship!
