My boyfriend slaps me

I'm 24 years old and have been with my boyfriend for 7 months now. He often slaps me - sometimes playfully, sometimes he does it because I was mouthing off to him and sometimes because he's angry. This is new to me because I've never been in a relationship with someone that slapped me. But my problem is that I like it when he slaps me. I know that hitting or slapping someone is wrong - which is why I'm writing to you. Why do I like it? What is wrong with me???

I don't think you should stay with someone who slaps you in anger. If you both agree that passionate or playful slapping is ok then thats great but you have to consider for yourself whether slapping during anger is something that you can get him to stop. Perhaps try talking to him about it...

I know how you feel, I was in a relationship where my boyfriend would slap me playfully becuase he was mucking around and other times becuase he was angry with me, but the slapping ended up turning into very hard hitting and then choking and kicking it isnt a good I idea to stay with someone like that. I think maybe you are thinking you like it because its dramatic, have you ever wanted to be an actress or someone like that before? does he ever hurt you a lot that you cry and get upset over it? how old is he?

He's 24 years old. He's never hurt me to the point where I cried. Sometimes the slapping doesn't hurt. Maybe it is the 'drama' that I'm attracted to ... I did end the relationship though ... because he drinks too much ... so it's probably for the best.

Why like the drama? To me it seems you like you are a drama queen. I had a friend like you but she liked it when her boyfriend choked her. I think it's weird, and you shouldn't want someone who to me seems abusive. It's two different things when it comes to be kinky and just plain abusive. You should find a REAL MAN that will respect you because a real man won't hit a female. And if you decided to stay with this guy and he gets drunk and hit you to the point of crying, the first thing you or any other female in that situation would do is call the police. So my advice is to leave the drama out of a relationship because a lot of men don't like drama.
