How to get my boyfriend's dad to give me a chance?

Okay.. I've been dating this boy for almost 8 months, and I love him to death. Well about 2 months ago I was going to go to the mall with him, and his dad wanted to meet me and my mom before we went.

So we went to go pick him up, and his dad barely said...

two words to me, he just glanced at me. Now his dad talks a lot of crap about me. How I control him, or how he always grounded my boyfriend from me. I don't think it's anything personal, but I think he doesn't like me because I'm Mexican. I know that's like a really big accusal but I honestly believe that's what it is. Oh but my boyfriend's white! He doesn't care that we have diferent races, too bad his dad doesn't see it like that.

I really want his dad to accept me, or just give me a chance. What should I do? I've tried EVERYTHING. I just.. don't know what to do anymore.

Why do you deal with your b/f' Dad's oppinion? Ask your b/f that who he wants to make kissing and making out with? With you or with his Dad? A healthy boy does not choose g/f for his Dad. However I have read some stories about that the Dad and his son's g/f got in intimate relationship.

I've had the same problem with mothers. Im half italian and half puerto rican and no matter what...im always too spanish for my white b/fs and too white for my spanish b/fs. Its ridiculous. The only way I've found someone with a tolerable enough family, is if they are bi-racial as well, or the mother is not in the picture lol.

I guess my advice to you would be to have a sit down with your b/f first and let him know why your upset. A sit down with his father would be a good idea to really voice your concern to him face to face. Tell his father that you want him to give you a chance and let him voice his concerns back. The worst thing you could do is put your b/f in the middle of this. It will make him stressed and possibly cause a lot of problems between the both of you. You want to be the bigger person in a situation like this ALWAYS so that your b/f is more likey to be on your side. Its even harder with mothers trust me lol. Moms and their baby boys. ugh!
