My boyfriend needs help

Mkay, so my boyfriend wants to get a emancipation. And like hes 14.
We were wondering how old does he have to be to get one. And like.
What all does he need to do for them to let him get one.
Like, his mom does drugs everynow and then. And his mom makes him move around a lot. And she use to hit him.
What all does he need to do though. she hasn't hit him recently but they have records of it from a while back.
And also, we live in texas.
So yeah, I'm sorry for any mispellings, I'm really shook up right now.

Hmm it's not the misspellings that are irksome, it's using "like" every three words. Is he like 14 or 14?

Anyway, to answer your question: people can get emancipated at any age, they just need to win the rights to the emancipation in court before a judge. And then they are severed from their parents, both physically and financially (ie he could never ask them for money again).

To be amancipated, you have to prove that you can take care of urself, and most 14 yr olds cant do that, they cant even get a job at that age. I think that he should find another family member that he can move in with, or if he really doesnt want to live there any more he should call DCS, they help people like that.
