Should I be concerned that my boyfriend cuts his wrists?

well my boyfriend is kinda emo . he cuts his wrists too . I figured he had 3 or 4 cuts , but no , he has like 20 cuts and they are each a centimeter deep . should I be concerened or what????

of course you should be concerned. the style of emo is to cut themselves to relieve the pain of life and the reason they do that is because they have noone there to comfort them. mate you need to find a way to keep that blood inside of him. like luvhim said you need to tell him to stop and that your worried about him..cause you dont know what could happen in the end..even if they tell you that that it helps them..its trully a test to see how much you trully care..

I agree with dark soul about talking to him but some people cut them selfs for plesure not to relieve the pain of life. I hope that he doesn't do it for plesure cause it will be very hard for him to stop turst me I had a friend at school he cut him self for plesure he got kicked out of the school for he now lives in las vegus with his father im not trying to scare you but it is serious you say 20 cuts that might be a problem if he wont stop try therapy if tuo dont want to break up with him I wouldnt recomened staying around him if hes not willy to go to therapy and he refuses to stop cuting him self.

I think you should be veryy concerned.. one day he might die.. you nver know what could happen. Talk to him and if you've done that .. possibly see a shrink.
