My boyfriend and organization-help!!

My boyfriend lives at my parent's house with me during the summer. He is very disorganized in the morning and lately I had been babying him and helping him get ready for work. We then decided that he needs to be more organized and...

self-sufficient. So this morning he got up on his own and got ready. I wake up early in the morning to drive him to the train station, since its too much of a transition for him to start walking there too. (baby steps right?) But he has been taking care of himself.

So this morning while he was rushing around (he woke up 15 minutes late), he asked me to make him an english muffin. I said no since, he would fall back into his old habits of having him rely on me for everything and also it only takes a minute to make one so he could have done it. If it was under different circumstances, I would have made it, but he needs to learn to be responsible.

Now he is really angry at me.

Am I in the wrong? Should he be mad at me?

It's great that you want him to be self-sufficient, but there's a limit.

If he's running late, make him the damn English Muffin...it won't set him back to the beginning, and all you're doing is taking your desire to teach him responsibility and turning it into a grudge match.

He isn't 4 years old, and you can't treat him like that.
