For starters, you can be less vague when asking for advice. That would help...

Just stay calm when he gets mad at you, don't argue back cause that usually makes things worse. Let him know if you're feeling sad or guilty and that will most likely make him feel bad and he will apoligize. You could also just talk to him about it, let him know that you don't know what you did wrong, or ask him what you can do to make it right.

But when I do ask what I do wrong he gets more nad at me and he does to me all the time.

depends what you do if your like making fun of him then I get why but if its for nothing then hes just a jerk
