My boyfriend wants to give me money

ok, well, I've been looking at a job, and I would really like to have it, I mean, money, and I wuld just feel independent, my boyfriend tells me that he wouldnt like me 2 have a job at this age, im 16 *I think im old enough 2 have a job*, but he says that he just doesnt want me working and wut not. especially as a waitress, he says that men *my dad also said diz 2 me* would b looking at me and tellin me nasty things, which I know is true. he says that he'll give me money, but I cant accept that, even when he wants 2 take me ot 2 dinner or a movie, or buy me things, its realy hard 4 me 2 sa yes, I rarely agree to take his money, why? I dont know, I just cant...it seems wrong, and I was raised to never take money from anyone else, I guess its a sense of pride, wut do you guys think?

well my father taught me never to take money from guyz..but I have..its a trust sort of thing..will he want something in return..or is he just being nice...remember independence is important!!

Your boyfriend is trying to control you. If you waitress at a restaurant, you arent going to get nasty comments from guys. Unless you work after the bars close (which you are too young to do) or if you were a cocktail waitress. Someone who loves/respects you will let you have your own space and have a different life other than always being with him. He trusts you so he lets you do the things you want to do and doesn't question you about it. You need to start standing up to your boyfriend, and tell him how its going to be. You are a person, and should be treated as such!
