That was just his way of telling you how much he loves you. Cheating is never a good thing and the best way to not want to cheat. Is to not think about it trust me if you told him you had feelings for another guy he would be heart broken.

Just because he said he'd take you back if you cheated does not give you license to go out and cheat on him. He used that as an expression of his love for you. Just because he said he would take you back does not mean he would'nt be heart broken over it. If you really love him would you intentionally inflict pain on him?
