He pretty old for a beta fish and will probably die soon. I'm sorry for that. I use to have a beta who have very poor eyesight (or maybe blind...I dunno) and I would have to tap the water around the food so he could find it. But that's not the same situation...the only thing I can think of to help your fish friend is to maybe try to transfer him to a low container or tank so he does have to swim to much. They do put they in tiny containers at pet store which I don't agree with but it might help...

My beta can't swim.
Send me Fun Mail
My beta fish is pretty old...well, like three. lately he can't swim to the top of the water to get his food. like, he'll try really hard to swim, but can't stay afloat. So now he lays at the bottom of his tank all day, and everyone thinks he's dead. I'm so nervous, I love him!! Does anyone know anything I can do to help him eat??
