My best friend's mom slapped her yesterday

My best friend's mom slapped her yesterday across the face. And she recently broke up with her boyfriend of a year and a couple months. And her mom told her that it was her fault as to why the broke up (they broke up bc he said he didnt love her anymore). And contuied on calling her a b***h and a s***t. And today her mom hit her again to show her that she didnt hit her that hard and said she would drop everything about her and her ex (she has said it many times and just contuines it anyway) She told me not to tell my mom because she is afraid that her mom with hurt her even more. I dont know what to do.

you need to tell someone because that isnt right. If you are a true friend you will get her mom help.

Maybe you could talk to you school guidance counciler. Help stop this cycle, because your friend will continue to be abused more frequently and intensly as time goes on. It will be hard, but remember, you may be saving her a lot of heartache and headaches. That's what real friends are for.

Oh my! You should deffinatly tell your parents. If she is scared about her mom hitting her, then she has probably hit her more than just twice.. That is child abuse. Tell someone! Believe me, your friend might be mad at you but she will realise you just did it to help her!! You could be saving her life! What if it gets worse and she hits her, she falls and like cracks her head open. Just tell someone! Trust me its the best thing to do! Goodluck.
