What if my best friend is in love with me and I'm not?

My best friend is in love with me, we have dated once then we broke up, he comes over every day to see me...he says he love me but I dont feel the same way..it hurts hearing him say that when I dont say a word...but I still want to be friends with him!
any advice?

WELL FIRST OF ALL YOU JUST NEED TO TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL, YOU JUST NEED TO BE LIKE SO YOU KNOW HOE YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH ME, WELL I LIKE YOU BUT ONLY AS A FRIEND, AND I AM NOT IN LOVE WITH YOU, IF YOUR FRIENDSHIP ENDS THEN THAT MEANS HE CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH IF IT DOESNT THEN JUST CONTINUE TO LT HIM KNOW WHAT YOU ARE FEELING AT ALL TIMES, HOLDING BACK JUST MAKES SITUATION WORSE, AND I CAN ALREADY TELL YOU HE IS GOING TO BE HEARTBROKEN WHEN YOU TELL HIM, THAT IT IS NOT HAPPENING

invite him over to your house and sit him and tell him " I know you like me , but I don't like you that way , we tried going out , but it didn't work " and maybe he'll get it

You should calmly tell him how you feel and suggest that the two of you stay out of a romantic relationship(but still be friends) for awhile so you both have time to think about your feelings, as you dated once and it didn't work out. If he doesn't accept this offer or still insists that he loves you, then dating him probably wouldn't be worth it in the ling run, as he isn't considering your feelings in that situation.

I no what you mean im in exactly the same situation.
he tells me all the time that he loves me but he knows I like someone else because before he told me we told eachother everything.
its kind of awkward at the moment around him but he is still the best friend ever because he still loves me even though he knows he has hardly any chance with me.
tell him how you feel and if he still likes you then you know hes your best friend for life.
