Limewire is an awesome program, but it is illegal and you can get viruses off of it. If you do get it, be sure to have a virus protection program on your computer and check the file size before you download. And please be aware that it is illegal and you can get in trouble for using it. The chances of you getting caught out of millions of people is slim, but it could happen.

I think most of the 'free' music sites are where you can download music from artists that are up and coming and trying to build a name for themselves.

Any of those peer to peer programs are illegal because the artists are not getting their royalties from all the music shared.
