um, maybe at first yeah, but after a week you should start adding more, like add 50 more every week
that might give you some results, also switch work outs every two or three weeks so your muscles can rest and recover themselves

I don't think so. You should be doing other work outs, not just pushups. Try some circuit
training. Do squats, move to pushups, then situps, then pullups. Then do squats again. Should get your heart rate up pretty high. You could do Tabata's, but those are pretty intense.

No. I do 200 just as PART of my 3 times weekly workout, and I'm not ripped (although I am in great shape).

If you want to look like a model, you have to work out about 3-4 HOURS every day.

The way to get the best results all the time that you work out is to vary your workout every 3 months, that way you dont plateau with your fitness level

You want to be ripped? I got your answer...you'll need a set of dumbells, a pull up bar and Tony Hortons P90X. It cost's about $120.00 (It's worth it)

You'll need to dedicate yourself to this though. It's AT LEAST 1 hour a day for 6 days a week, for 90 days. You will look like a fitness model when you are through if you follow the workouts and nutrition guide.

I'm serious though, it's some tough stuff. If you want to know if it's for you just google P90X reviews and read the reviews that people gave it.
