its because of sun damage, it actually wasnt cause the last time you were at the beach though. Each time you tan and peel more skin is shed and the deeper layer are coming to the top- this is very normal for people who are in the sun a lot. Unfortunately they wont go away completely- you can treat them with certain products like Aveda's tormeline cream but sun damage irreversible

I went to the beach a month ago and started to peel because of sunburn on the fourth of july. Only a small areas of my arms peeled and lighter skin apesred. Other than that, my other skin is really dark. Why are there pigmentations and how can I get rid of them?
