Mucus plug at 33 weeks:

MEEEE Asked by mamaof3 2 months ago, 3 answers.

Okay I started to leak this fluid at 32 weeks pregnant and when went to the doctor they told me it was nothing to be worried about that it was the normal mucus leaking. Is the the plug? Also im only going on 33 weeks so is that safe now to lose the plug?

If your baby was born now, it would be pretty safe.
It could be, as the doctor said - the mucous plug, but I don't know - I can't see it.

u can lose the plug up to two weeks before the baby is born so your baby could be born early but the baby would be fine if it was to be born now as you are nearley term lots of luck with your new baby.xx

you can lose you plug for more than two weeks before the baby is bron some people occasionally lose it a month before the baby is born but its fine...it could have been just soem mucus but you doctor would have told you if it was your mucus plus. I'm guessing you went to the doctor because you thought your water broke...trust me that is a completely different feeling and you will know what I mean when it happens...but if your baby happens to be born now then you will be fine...a baby can live outside of the womb between 24-26 weeks..it'll have some lung problems but it has a good chance of living. but your at 32-33 weeks so your fine.
