You can purchase music from sites like Amazon. There are also numerous P2P
(peer to peer) sites like Limewire, Citrixwire, Frostwire, eDonkey, etc. Sharing music or other files is LEGAL...but sharing COPYRIGHTED files/music is NOT! So here is the catch: if the material is "Public Domain" it is shareable ...or if it is licensed under
Creative Commons but if it is Copyrighted, it is technically illegal to download it. If you are going to download copyrighted music, I would suggest going through a proxy server to avoid being sued by the R.I.A.A.!!! Many independent bands offer free downloads of songs to encourage listeners to purchase their CDs..this is a great way for new bands to get heard. Typing in:" Legal music downloads" in Google will yield a lot of sites for free and legal MP3 downloads. Any music files you have in your computer can be converted to MP-3 files, with any of the free converter programs. (Google "Free MP3 file converter
software download" or "Convert to MP3 free software download"} any of these programs will convert your music files to mp-3, which your player will handle.
NOTE: if you have an IPOD...convert to MP4...as that is what IPOD uses.
