I am 17 years old and next year I want to move out and live on my own. I have a job and some savings and I want to move in with my boyfriend. Thing is my parents especially my dad is very strict and wont understand if I want to be independent and this might cause problems but I dont care. I spent so long doing what they want me to do and now it s my decision. Does this sound like a good idea or not? Has anyone else been through same thing?

Isnt the legal age 18? Couldnt you wait a couple of more months and move out when it wouldnt matter?

Ultimately it's your choice. I don't know if I would of only because at 18 I still wanted to play and when you live on your own, you won't have the time or money to play (I realize that you would be living with your boyfriend). Try not to p*ss off your parents too much because if things don't work out (sorry) between you and your boyfriend you will need somewhere to go and you don't want them telling you "I told you so".

Good luck
