Moving questions

ok so..im in 9th grade, and this summer I'm moving to NC. Now...my dad is an as*h*le and is trying to like..scare me into not goign or something, but...hes telling me all this stuff like southereners don't like new yourkers adn stuff, and I'll be an outcast, and im not goign to make any friends, and north carolina's education system is bad, and stuff like that. Is any of that true?? Although, I am uncomfortable around people and stuff...not sure why..so I am a little scared about making friends

you have no idea how many yankees are in the south right now. dont worry, im a pure bred southurn girl and my bff's from NY. unless your movin into white trashville, you should have no problems making friends, but expect some tesing bout your accent. lol
