Mouse dpi

Asked by lphilipl about 1 year ago, 4 answers.

I am having a hard time understanding mouse dpi and how it affects gaming. when a mouse says is can adjust dpi on the fly, is this changing sensativity? that would be useful.

the higher the dpi, the quicker it will move across the screen with less movement of your hand

cant you just change that in mouse sensitivity?

what I am looking for is a mouse that can change sensitivity with some slider on the side, so I can do that depending on the situation in a video game. know of one?

dpi means dot per inch, the higher the dpi of a mouse the better.. you can change the sensitivity of your mouse in STARTCONTROL PANELMOUSEselect the POINTER OPTIONS TAB, then adjust the speed... this is good when you have lower dpi mouse like 500dpi.
