Most talented guitarist?

Who do you think the most talented guitarist is? I personally think John Petrucci is the greatest guitarist to ever live. The reason is that he can play any genre, be it shred, jazz, blues you name it. Listen to his solo in Under a Glass Moon for example, it fuses shred and jazz/blues like styles perfectly.

Petrucci is damn good, there's no doubt about it. Steve Vai is also very good, as is the ever present Carlos Santana.

I would agree that Jimi Hendrex is still the greatest in the records. But in my opinion, the guitarist from Slayer, listen to the song Raining Blood, it's great. Or Slash from Guns and Roses, he's a great guitarist too!

the best guitarist ever is herman li in duet with sam from dragonforce
haven't you guys seen "them in through the fire and flames" video?
there's a part in which they both start soloing and it is freackin GREAT..!!!
I guess herman is the best shred/effect guitar player ever..!!!
